Southern Educational - Pharmacy
This Southern Educational Bursary Program is available to Canadian students completing their last four years of study leading to a B.sc (undergraduate) and/or M.sc (graduate) as a Pharmacist. Bursary applicants must be enrolled full time at a recognized Canadian Faculty/School of Pharmacy. This bursary is a remissible loan and is paid back by a specified length of time during which the bursary recipient will reside and practice as a hospital based Pharmacist within the NWT.

The Department of Health & Social Services will support three Pharmacy students on an on-going basis.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants for the Southern Educational Pharmacy Bursary must meet the following criteria:
- Be a Canadian citizen and permanent resident of Canada.
- Be enrolled full time, in recognized Pharmacy program at an accredited Canadian University.
- Be willing to complete a Return of Service as a Pharmacist in a Hospital within the NWT. The Return of Service to the GNWT is expected upon completion of the student’s program and proof of successful completion of the PEBC examination.
- Applicants must not have a Return of Service Agreement or contractual obligation with any other jurisdiction in Canada or elsewhere.
