Hay River Health and Social Services Authority

Overview

Hay River (pop. 3 825) is located on the southern shore of Great Slave Lake and is the largest and fastest growing community south of the lake. Located in the midst of the great white north, it is a dynamic community packed full of sights and adventures including waterfalls and year-round community festivals.

Facility/Practice

The Hay River Health and Social Services Authority provides a full range of services to Hay River and its six outlying communities via a new state-of-the-art 29-bed Hospital with Ambulatory and Acute Care, Long Term Care services, Mental Health services and Allied Health services. Midwifery, Dialysis, and Rehablilitation are also part of our comprehensive services. Additionaly, the community has a 15-bed Long Term Care facility and a Supportive Living campus comprised of three residential homes and a Day Program building.
